The flower motif is worked not as embroidering but as weaving between the stitches while knitting. It is traditional Estonian technique and called “Roosimine”, which means Rose in Estonian language. The pattern made with this technique is called “Roositud”. Traditional Estonian Roositud patterns have quite geometrical form and are worked in a set of bright primary colors.

Needles: (not included)

4.5 mm US 7 needle as main needle, 3.5 mm US 4 for neck, hem and cuff. Adjust needle size if necessary to get gauge.

Gauge: 20 sts x 28 rows = 10 cm 4“, with main needle in stockinette stitch after wet blocking.
